Akbank LAB is the innovation center of Akbank and coordinates innovative activities within the bank. Akbank LAB strives to be in effective communication with all parties inside and outside of Akbank, and to implement innovative solutions that will facilitate the lives of our internal and external customers with third party collaborations. Until now, Akbank LAB has conducted nearly 50 proof of concept projects out of more than hundreds of ideas and now nearly half of successful projects are live.

To ensure that Akbank is the first bank to considered as collaboration partner, we invite all local and global companies to produce innovative projects for Akbank via PoChallenge. If you are a fintech, startup or technology company whose products or services will create value for Akbank customers and employees, send us your solution proposal and let’s test it together!

Please explore the challenges that require solutions and submit your relevant solution proposals as part of the PoChallenge where applications will be collected globally between October 1-31. Shortlisted companies will be invited to the Demo Day on November 26 at Sabanci Center Istanbul, and finalist companies will have the opportunity to conduct a paid proof of concept project.

AI for Good Challenge

We invite all local and global companies to produce innovative projects for Akbank via PoChallenge. You can produce a wide range of solutions, please explore the challenges that require solutions and submit your relevant solution proposals

Challenge Details

  • Akbank and Microsoft are looking for AI-based projects for social good.

  • These projects will be supported by both parties and published on partner platforms.

  • It will also be possible to turn finance-related solutions into projects within the Akbank.

  • Solution must be tackling an underlying problem of the Sustainable Development Goals’ frameworks given below:

    • SDG3: Good Health & Wellbeing

    • SDG5: Gender Inequality

    • SDG7: Affordable and Clean Energy

    • SDG8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

    • SDG9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

    • SDG10: Reduced Inequalities

  • Applicants are welcomed to work on focus areas of Microsoft as stated AI for Good Lab.
